Ésta es la historia de una niña que quería a un cerdito llamado Wilbur y de una queridísima amiga de Wilbur llamada Carlota y de una hermosa y gran araña gris que vivía con él en la granja. Carlota idea un magnífico plan para salvar la vida a Wilbur que llevará a cabo con la ayuda de toda la granja e incluso la de Templeton, una rata que se resiste a cooperar.
